Job Duties: Primary duties include remote and onsite technical support for a variety of hardware and software as well as installation of desktops, laptops, switches, routers, servers and applications. Technical Specialists must be able to interface with clients, service technicians, technical support personnel, and business owners in a professional manner. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software,
and network issues in a timely manner. Create tickets, and document issues and resolutions as well as time entries in our client database. May be called upon to assist with special projects and assume responsibility for the development, administration and promotion of specific projects, as required.
Position Requirements:
∙ Minimum 2 years of related experience as this is a Tier 2 position.
∙ Implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows and Windows Server operating systems.
∙ Installing and maintaining physical and virtual servers. Hyper-V, VMware, and Proxmox.
∙ Managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
∙ Troubleshooting hardware and networking issues.
∙ Using a ticketing system and documentation platforms. ConnectWise PSA is a plus.
∙ Installing, configuring, and managing network firewalls. Fortinet is a plus.
∙ Ability to make quick and independent decisions
∙ Attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills
∙ Must understand formal office procedures and use of office equipment
∙ Excellent oral and written communication skills
∙ Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
∙ Good driving record, reliable transportation and current auto insurance
(Please Note: Use of personal vehicle is required. Drive times can be up to 100+ miles one-way. Mileage is reimbursed at Federal rate.)
